Bette Brennan founded Forayweb in June 2001 as a spin-off from Chromis Information Systems, a software development and consulting firm she founded that has been doing business in the San Francisco area since 1998. Bette realized that the needs of small businesses, non-profits, and individual professionals were not being met by the web hosting and IT consulting services that were available. Bette founded Forayweb to productize the tools and service skills she'd developed while working with larger businesses. Today Bette serves as president of Forayweb, where she is responsible for setting the company's direction and leading its growth as a provider of premium web applications and services for small business and non-profits

A veteran of Silicon Valley's research and development arena, Bette has held engineering and management roles in large established companies as well as dynamic startups. Before founding Forayweb, Bette was involved with several database and networking startup companies. Previously, Bette was a senior engineering manager and lead software engineer at Novell, Inc over nearly a 10 year period where she was responsible for developing LDAP and Macintosh networking products.
